Inspired ERP and the warehouse management system now support new 4x6 product label formats, giving companies additional space for longer ingredient lists, labeling details, and customer-specific requirements.
These new labels are designed for food distributors, meat processors, manufacturers, and cold storage operations that require larger, more readable labels with additional product information.
The update also introduces support for configurable logos and expanded label customization options based on company and item-level setup.
Standard label formats can become difficult to manage when products require detailed ingredient statements, allergen declarations, multiple dates, certifications, or customer-specific labeling requirements.
The new 4x6 label format provides additional space for longer ingredient lists, allergen information, multiple dates, product and pack details, regulatory markings, customer-specific text, logos, and certifications.
The new 4x6 label option is available within the system and can be configured at both the item class and item master levels. Companies can define default label behavior by item class while still allowing item-level overrides when needed.
The system also supports company-specific logo selections. Certain companies may have access to custom logo options while others continue using standard label formats and configurations.
Ingredient lists can now support significantly longer text values than previous formats allowed. This is especially useful for multi-ingredient products, prepared foods, value-added meat products, imported food items, and products with detailed regulatory labeling requirements.
Ingredient information can also continue syncing across applicable connected companies where supported.
The new 4x6 labels support configurable options including logo selection, pack size, lot number, up to three dates, ingredient lists, allergen declarations, voice pick identifiers, GTIN barcodes, pick symbols, safe handling instructions, override company text, bottom label text, USDA seals, halal markings, and additional certification stamps.
This allows labels to be configured based on operational, customer, and regulatory requirements without requiring separate label formats for every scenario.
4x6 labels can be printed from several areas within the system, including the Weights Screen, RF Unit Print, and Inventory Units. This allows warehouse and production users to generate labels during normal operational workflows without additional manual steps.
The new 4x6 label format was designed to improve readability and flexibility in real operational environments where labels often need to contain more information than smaller formats allow.
