Inspired ERP now supports electronic signature capture directly from Zebra scan guns during manifesting. This allows warehouse users to collect and store customer or driver signatures as part of the shipping process without relying on separate paperwork or external devices.
Once a shipment is manifested, the user can capture the driver or customer signature directly on the scan gun. Any Bill of Lading generated after the signature is collected will automatically include the saved signature.
This feature helps reduce manual paperwork, improves shipment documentation, and keeps shipping records tied directly to the order inside the system.
During manifesting, a new Signature button is available on the scan gun. Warehouse users can manifest the order normally, select the Signature option, capture and save the signature directly on the device, and then generate the Bill of Lading with the signature automatically included.
If BOL copies are configured for the customer or user, the system will continue following those existing print rules automatically after manifesting.
Once a signature has been collected, automatically generated BOLs will include the signature. Manually generated BOLs created afterward will also include the saved signature.
The signature data remains tied to the shipment documentation inside the system, allowing shipping teams to maintain signed delivery documentation directly within warehouse operations.
